The Great Gatsby

DramaRomance144 min

New to Long Island from the Midwest, Nick Carraway (Sam Waterston) is drawn into the glittering world next door when he meets Jay Gatsby, an elusive millionaire with a mansion full of guests and a carefully guarded past. Robert Redford is Gatsby, whose attention is fixed less on his lavish parties than on Daisy Buchanan, the married woman he once loved; Mia Farrow gives Daisy a fragile, restless glamour. Against the wealth and spectacle of the 1920s, Nick becomes Gatsby’s confidant and witness as old money, new money, and an unfinished romance begin to collide.
