Police Academy 3: Back in Training
ComedyCrime84 min
A state budget cut puts two police academies on the chopping block, and George Gaynes's Commandant Lassard has to prove his school deserves to stay open. Steve Guttenberg returns with the academy regulars as the contest turns into a string of training drills, sabotage, and public embarrassments, while Mauser quietly recruits two officers inside Lassard's ranks to improve his odds. The film sends its graduates back to campus for another round of official competitions and slapstick disorder, with pratfalls, sound-effect gags, and chain-reaction mishaps colliding with the usual battles over rules, rank, and who gets to wear the badge.
