Borat

Comedy84 min

Sent from Kazakhstan to make a documentary about the United States, TV reporter Borat Sagdiyev zigzags across America and turns each stop into an awkward collision with the people around him. Sacha Baron Cohen is Borat, bringing the character into rodeos, etiquette lessons, dinner parties, and local interviews where his manners and beliefs provoke increasingly uneasy reactions. Ken Davitian tags along as his producer, and Pamela Anderson becomes the focus of Borat’s side mission as the trip unravels. Built around encounters with unsuspecting Americans, the film uses Borat’s invented worldview to expose prejudice, vanity, and the gaps between public politeness and private beliefs.
