The Disaster Artist
ComedyDrama104 min
In Hollywood, aspiring actor Greg Sestero befriends the bafflingly confident Tommy Wiseau, and their odd partnership turns into the making of 2003’s The Room. Dave Franco is Greg, drawn in by Tommy’s total lack of self-doubt, while James Franco’s Wiseau arrives as a would-be star, writer, director, and producer with money, mysteries, and no interest in doing things the usual way. As acting classes, stalled auditions, and small humiliations give way to an increasingly chaotic shoot, the film follows a friendship shaped by envy, loyalty, and one man’s refusal to accept that he might not belong in Hollywood.
