Late Night
ComedyDrama102 min
A legendary late-night talk show host is forced to rethink her show when she hires her only female staff writer, a move meant to answer diversity concerns just as her job starts to look shaky. Emma Thompson is the sharp, exacting host at the center of the upheaval, while Mindy Kaling's newcomer arrives from far outside the boys' club of the writers' room. Their partnership turns into a culture-and-generation clash built around joke writing, office politics, and the pressure to keep a long-running show relevant.
