Promising Young Woman
CrimeDramaMysteryThriller114 min
Cassie is a former medical student whose life stalled after a traumatic event, leaving her living at home, working in a coffee shop, and leading a secret night routine built around confronting predatory men. Carey Mulligan makes Cassie both detached and deliberate, with Laverne Cox as the concerned boss who knows her daytime version. As Cassie circles the people and institutions connected to her past, the story fixes on the gap between how men present themselves and what they do when they think no one is watching.
