God's Own Country
DramaRomance105 min
Johnny Saxby is a young sheep farmer in rural Yorkshire, spending his days knee-deep in lambing season and his nights in the pub, numbing the isolation of life on his family’s farm. Josh O'Connor gives Johnny a shut-down, abrasive edge that starts to crack with the arrival of a Romanian migrant worker (Alec Secareanu), hired for the busiest stretch of the year. As the two work side by side through mud, cold, and long hours, casual contact turns into something Johnny can’t keep at arm’s length.
