Call Me by Your Name

DramaRomance132 min

In the summer of 1983, 17-year-old Elio spends long days at his family’s villa in northern Italy, moving between books, piano pieces, and afternoons with his friend Marzia. Timothée Chalamet is Elio, bright and restless; Armie Hammer’s Oliver arrives as the American graduate student assisting Elio’s father, a professor of Greco-Roman culture. What begins as irritation and flirtation shifts as the two circle each other through shared meals, bike rides, and late conversations. Luca Guadagnino frames their connection within the rhythms of the household, where Elio’s parents and the heat of the season are never far from view.
