Momentum Generation
Documentary104 min
In 1990s Oahu, a close-knit band of teenage surfers on the North Shore helps push professional surfing into a new era, only to find their friendship tested as the stakes rise. Using archival footage and present-day interviews, Kelly Slater and Rob Machado are among the surfers looking back on the crew known as the Momentum Generation. The film traces their rise from a local scene to the center of the sport, where shared ambition and constant competition begin to pull at a bond that once seemed unshakable.
