Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Drama108 min
At his wealthy family’s Mississippi plantation, former football star Brick Pollitt spends his days drinking and keeping his wife at a distance as his father’s illness pulls the whole household together. Paul Newman is Brick, shut down and haunted by the death of a close friend; Elizabeth Taylor’s Maggie fights for affection and security in a marriage that has gone cold while Brick’s brother keeps one eye on the family inheritance. With Burl Ives as the domineering Big Daddy, the reunion becomes a charged standoff of sibling rivalry, marital strain, and old wounds no one in the family can quite say out loud.
