A university professor from the city heads to an unnamed Japanese island for a break from work, only to find that the people around her operate on an entirely different wavelength. Satomi Kobayashi is the weary visitor at the center of the story, while Mikako Ichikawa and Ryo Kase are among the islanders who turn a simple beach vacation into something stranger and harder to pin down. As she moves through this quiet community of eccentric locals, ordinary encounters start to feel slightly off-center, with comedy and uncertainty sharing the same calm shoreline.
