Kicking & Screaming
ComedyFamilyRomance95 min
Phil Weston has never been much of an athlete, and when his 10-year-old son is benched by Phil’s relentlessly competitive father, he pulls the boy onto a struggling youth soccer team and ends up coaching it himself. Will Ferrell is Phil, a mild suburban dad whose sideline frustration quickly turns into an all-out rivalry with Robert Duvall’s domineering Buck. What starts as a bid to help his son becomes a family feud played out on the soccer field, with Phil trying to rally an awkward group of kids while refusing to let his father run the game—or his family.
