The Campaign
Comedy85 min
After a public gaffe puts his seat at risk, longtime North Carolina congressman Cam Brady faces an unexpected challenger in Marty Huggins, a mild local tourism director backed by deep-pocketed donors. Will Ferrell is Cam, a slick incumbent suddenly forced into a vicious race, while Zach Galifianakis's Marty shifts from awkward outsider to viable candidate. As consultants, family connections, and campaign money flood a small congressional district, the election becomes a parade of attack ads, staged photo ops, and increasingly personal sabotage. Jay Roach frames the contest as a broad political farce where corruption, image-making, and ego drive every move.
