Bottle Rocket
ComedyCrimeDrama91 min
After a stay in a mental hospital, directionless Anthony falls back in with his friend Dignan, whose carefully mapped-out plan for a criminal career is equal parts confidence and chaos. Luke Wilson is Anthony, the quiet center of a scrappy trio, while Owen Wilson’s Dignan charges ahead with notebooks, pep talks, and a hazy connection to the supposedly legendary Mr. Henry. Wes Anderson’s first feature tracks their small-time robbery, motel-to-motel escape, and crooked ambitions through a distinctly offbeat Texas landscape, with deadpan exchanges and schemes that are far more elaborate than their skills.
