Raising Arizona

ComedyCrime94 min

After repeated prison stints bring him face to face with police officer Ed, H.I. “Hi” McDunnough (Nicolas Cage) marries her, settles into Arizona life, and runs straight into a problem the couple can’t solve: they can’t have children. So Hi and Holly Hunter’s Ed take one of a wealthy family’s quintuplets and try to raise the baby as their own. What follows pulls their shaky domestic setup into robberies, kidnappings, and the return of trouble Hi thought he’d left behind. John Goodman and William Forsythe turn up as a pair of escaped convicts from Hi’s past in the Coen brothers’ offbeat crime comedy.
