Escaflowne: The Movie
ActionAdventureAnimationAnimeDramaFantasyRomanceSci-FiThriller98 min
Hitomi Kanzaki is swept into Gaea, a mythical world of swords, sorcery, and constant war, where she’s pulled into a conflict she barely understands. Maaya Sakamoto voices Hitomi as she joins young Prince Van in his fight against the Black Dragon Clan. Van (Tomokazu Seki) is locked in a battle over Escaflowne, a legendary suit of dragon armor that turns the war into something larger and far more personal. This retelling of the anime series pushes its fantasy setting toward darker, more violent territory, mixing mecha action with doomed romance and tragic rivals.
