Resistance: They Fought Back
Documentary100 min
Challenging the idea that Jews met Nazi terror passively, this documentary traces resistance across Eastern Europe during the Holocaust. From the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising to lesser-known revolts in smaller ghettos and death camps, it gathers accounts of armed rebellion, partisan fighters in the forests, and networks of nonviolent defiance. Richard Freund and Gideon Greif are among the voices guiding the film through Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Israel, and the United States, building a record of communities and individuals who fought back under Nazi occupation.
