Okraina

Drama95 min

Farmer Philip Safronov’s peaceful life is upended when his land is seized by a group looking to exploit the oil beneath it. Okraina turns that act into a conflict over property, livelihood, and who gets to claim the countryside when outside interests move in. Yuriy Dubrovin leads the film, with Nikolay Olyalin alongside him as the struggle widens beyond one man’s farm. The setup is rooted in rural Russia, where a quiet patch of land becomes the center of a larger fight over power and resources.
