Running Out of Time
ActionAdventureCrimeDramaFamilyThriller93 min
Police inspector Ho Sheung-Sang, one of Hong Kong's top hostage negotiators, is pulled into a 72-hour game by a terminally ill criminal bent on revenge against the city's organized crime syndicates. Ching-Wan Lau's Ho has to treat the case as both pursuit and negotiation, while across from him Andy Lau is the man setting the terms and steering events toward his own target. Johnnie To builds the film around their back-and-forth, with the criminal's private agenda colliding with police procedure and underworld business.
