Babel

Drama142 min

After a crisis in the Moroccan desert, four family stories begin to intersect across Morocco, Mexico, the United States, and Japan. Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett are an American couple whose vacation turns into an emergency far from home, while Adriana Barraza’s longtime nanny faces a border-crossing ordeal of her own. In Tokyo, a deaf teenager (Rinko Kikuchi) moves through a different kind of isolation as the film shifts between households, languages, and countries. Directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Babel builds its drama through fractured connections and the misunderstandings that travel with them.
