Over one hectic week in Hollywood, Robert De Niro is Ben, a film producer trying to keep multiple projects from unraveling while his home life slips further out of balance. Catherine Keener's studio executive keeps demanding major changes to a Sean Penn movie, and another top brass figure won't greenlight a project unless Bruce Willis shaves off his beard. Every call, screening, and meeting brings a new problem, with Ben caught between star egos, studio pressure, and impossible deadlines. At the same time, he's trying to repair things with his wife and stay present for his young daughter.
