Sister Act
ComedyFamily100 min
After lounge singer Deloris witnesses her mobster boyfriend commit murder, she’s hidden in witness protection at a California convent, where the cover story requires a nun’s habit and a very different way of life. Whoopi Goldberg is Deloris, bringing nightclub swagger into a house built on routine and restraint, while Maggie Smith’s Mother Superior eyes every disruption with alarm. When Deloris is steered toward the convent choir, her ear for performance starts changing more than the music, and the sudden attention around the church threatens to make her far too easy to find.
