The Jungle Book
ActionAdventureAnimationComedyFamilyMusical78 min
Raised by wolves in the Indian jungle, young Mowgli is steered toward the man-village by Bagheera, a watchful panther who knows the tiger Shere Khan is on the move. Bruce Reitherman voices Mowgli, and Sebastian Cabot gives Bagheera a calm, dry authority. Along the way, Mowgli falls in with Phil Harris's laid-back Baloo, slips under the gaze of the hypnotic snake Kaa, and meets the swingy, oversized King Louie. The 1967 animated musical follows that trek through the jungle with bright character comedy, talking animals, and songs including "The Bare Necessities."
