The Lion King
ActionAdventureAnimationDramaFamilyMusical89 min
Young lion prince Simba grows up in the Pride Lands, where his father Mufasa rules and his uncle Scar watches the throne with quiet ambition. Jonathan Taylor Thomas voices Simba as a cub, with Matthew Broderick taking over as he comes of age; James Earl Jones is the commanding Mufasa, and Jeremy Irons lends Scar a silky menace. After betrayal drives Simba away from home, he falls in with a wisecracking meerkat and warthog and tries to leave his past behind. The story moves between sunlit savanna adventure, palace intrigue, and musical set pieces built around the Circle of Life.
