Despicable Me
ActionAdventureAnimationComedyCrimeFamilySci-Fi95 min
Supervillain Gru is out to prove he’s the greatest criminal on Earth by stealing the Moon, and Steve Carell voices him with clipped, theatrical confidence. To pull off the heist, Gru adopts three orphaned girls — Margo, Edith, and Agnes — planning to use them as part of the scheme while his army of yellow minions keeps the operation moving. What starts as another bid for villain supremacy turns into an uneasy household, with ballet recitals, bedtime routines, and three kids who don’t see Gru the way the rest of the world does.
