Before they ran Monsters, Inc., Mike Wazowski heads to Monsters University convinced hard work will make him a top Scarer. Billy Crystal is the eager overachiever, while John Goodman's Sulley arrives as a gifted legacy student who makes everything look easy. Their rivalry blows up fast, and after both are pushed out of the elite Scare Program, they end up on the same team with a house full of misfit monsters. The prequel turns the pair’s origin story into a campus comedy of scare competitions, fraternities, bruised pride, and an uneasy friendship starting to take shape.
