American Ultra
ActionAdventureComedy96 min
Mike is an aimless small-town stoner whose life with his girlfriend, Phoebe, explodes when he learns he’s actually a lethal sleeper agent marked by a government operation. Jesse Eisenberg is Mike, thrown from convenience-store routine into sudden hand-to-hand fights and black-ops chaos, while Kristen Stewart’s Phoebe is caught beside him as his buried past comes rushing back. The film flips between deadpan slacker comedy and abrupt bursts of violence as Mike scrambles to make sense of abilities he never knew he had.
