Sex and Lucía
DramaRomance128 min
After the loss of her longtime boyfriend, Lucía, a young waitress in Madrid, escapes to a secluded Mediterranean island, where distance and sunlight begin to loosen the memories of their relationship. Paz Vega is Lucía, piecing together a past shaped by desire, grief, and things left half understood. In her recollections, Tristán Ulloa’s Lorenzo remains an intimate, unsettled presence, while other figures drift in at the edges of the story. Moving between the city and the island, the film follows Lucía as she tries to reconstruct the dark corners of a romance against a backdrop of bright sea, heat, and isolation.
