Colonel Wolodyjowski

ActionAdventureDramaWar161 min

As the Ottoman Empire pushes into Poland in the late 1660s, veteran soldier Michał Wołodyjowski is drawn back into war just as the Commonwealth faces invasion from without and division within. The fighting stretches from border skirmishes to sieges, with nobles, officers, and old allies forced to choose between private loyalties and military duty. While commanders struggle to hold the frontier, Wołodyjowski’s personal ties complicate every move, turning courtship, friendship, and rivalry into matters with national stakes. Set against the 1668–1672 campaign, the film follows how one officer’s return to service becomes bound up with the defense of a country under pressure from a larger empire.
