Jodorowsky's Dune

Documentary90 min

Alejandro Jodorowsky recounts his mid-1970s attempt to turn Frank Herbert’s Dune into an enormous film project that never reached the screen. Through interviews with Jodorowsky, producer Michel Seydoux, H.R. Giger, Gary Kurtz and others, the documentary traces how a proposed cast that included Orson Welles, Mick Jagger and Salvador Dalí came together alongside Pink Floyd and a roster of artists. It maps out the scale of the production Jodorowsky imagined, the two years spent building it, and the way its abandoned designs and collaborators carried forward into later science fiction cinema.
