The Fiances
Drama84 min
A young Milanese worker takes a job in Sicily and finds that the distance gives new shape to his relationship with the fiancée he left behind. Carlo Cabrini is the man in transit, while his longtime partner (Anna Canzi) remains in Milan, where absence, routine, and memory begin to press on a bond that had seemed settled. Moving between north and south, the film keeps its focus on ordinary work, modest homes, and the private shifts that come when separation turns an engagement into something uncertain.
