Three Little Words
ComedyDramaMusicalRomance102 min
After an injury ends his career as a song-and-dance performer, Bert Kalmar turns to songwriting and stumbles into a partnership that reshapes his life. Fred Astaire is Kalmar, a vaudeville man pushed off the stage and into the music business, while Red Skelton’s Harry Ruby is the fast-talking pianist and composer he meets by chance. Their first collaboration takes off, launching a run of hit songs, but the pair’s friendship keeps colliding with marriages, misunderstandings, and the business side of show business. Vera-Ellen and Arlene Dahl appear as the women drawn into the duo’s turbulent personal lives.
