After a prison break from an airliner at 30,000 feet leaves his brother dead, U.S. Marshal Pete Nessip turns a manhunt into a personal mission. Wesley Snipes is Nessip, pushed off the case and into the world of skydiving, where he recruits Jessie Crossman (Yancy Butler) to train him and help track the crew behind the escape. As the Fourth of July approaches, the chase moves toward Washington, D.C., where the fugitives are using the annual parachuting show as cover for a major computer theft.
