In a Valley of Violence
ActionAdventureDramaWestern104 min
Drifter Paul and his dog Abbie cut through the dusty mining town of Denton on their way to Mexico, and a run-in with the local bully turns into a revenge hunt. Ethan Hawke is Paul, a stranger whose arrival unsettles a place already controlled by Gilly, the marshal’s reckless son. John Travolta’s marshal watches the tension build as the town’s few remaining residents pick sides. At the local hotel, sisters Mary Anne (Taissa Farmiga) and Ellen (Karen Gillan) get pulled into the fallout as Paul goes after the men who killed his friend.
