Gavin & Stacey
ComedyDramaRomance29 min per episode
A romance between Essex and Barry, Wales pulls two very different families into each other’s orbit when Gavin and Stacey decide they’re in love. Mathew Horne is Gavin, a young man from Billericay whose relationship with Joanna Page’s Stacey starts with calls and visits, then widens to include parents, in-laws, and everybody’s opinions. Around them, James Corden’s Smithy and Ruth Jones’s Nessa bring their own offbeat chemistry to the mix, while Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb loom large as Gavin’s parents Pam and Mick. The comedy stays close to family rituals, awkward introductions, and the baggage that comes with both.
