The Thick of It

Comedy30 min per episode

Inside British government offices, ministers and advisers scramble from one blunder to the next, trying to survive press storms, policy disasters, and their own incompetence. A department’s daily work becomes a chain of panicked meetings, leaking phones, rushed statements, and insults traded behind closed doors. As leadership shifts and the opposition pushes in, every announcement turns into a test of loyalty, nerve, and message control. Peter Capaldi’s spin doctor stalks the corridors enforcing discipline through intimidation, while Chris Langham is one of the ministers caught between public duty and private chaos. The series keeps its focus on the machinery of government: not grand decisions, but the frantic damage control around them.
