Defense lawyer Emi takes on an unusual murder case when a man suspected of killing his wealthy wife says his only alibi is Rokubei, a 421-year-old ghost. Emi is skeptical until the spirit appears to her, sending the case toward a courtroom showdown where Prosecutor Osano has to reckon with a witness from another century. Eri Fukatsu leads the proceedings, with Toshiyuki Nishida among the ensemble, in a Japanese mystery that folds supernatural testimony into a murder trial.
