The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane
DramaHorrorMysteryThriller91 min
Thirteen-year-old Rynn Jacobs lives alone in a big house in a New England beach town, where her poise and privacy quickly unsettle the adults around her. Jodie Foster is Rynn, fielding questions from a suspicious landlady about her absent father while guarding whatever is happening inside the house. When the landlady’s son Frank, played by Martin Sheen, begins pressing into her life, Rynn turns to a neighbor boy for help keeping him at a distance and her secret contained. Halloween decorations, chilly seaside streets, and the constant scrutiny of a small town frame a story built around a girl who refuses to explain herself.
