Dodsworth
DramaRomance101 min
After years of success in business, Sam Dodsworth leaves America and heads to Europe with his wife, Fran, expecting travel to open a new chapter for them both. Instead, the trip exposes how differently they see age, status, and what they want from the years ahead. As Sam settles into a freer, more reflective life, Fran chases youth and attention in a string of social circles and attachments that pull them further apart. Their marriage turns into a quiet struggle over independence, loyalty, and whether starting over means doing it together. Walter Huston and Ruth Chatterton center a story about love strained by ambition, vanity, and the unsettling freedom of change.
