A Guide for the Married Man
ComedyRomance89 min
A happily married man starts hearing that every husband cheats, and his smooth-talking friend is eager to prove it with a running set of rules, excuses, and escape plans. What follows is a bedroom farce built around temptation, panic, and bad advice as the supposedly foolproof “guide” turns everyday encounters into elaborate near-disasters. Walter Matthau is the husband caught between loyalty and curiosity, while Robert Morse’s carefree philanderer keeps pushing him toward trouble. The movie keeps testing whether a man can flirt with infidelity without wrecking his marriage, piling on misunderstandings, close calls, and comic detours as the lesson in how to stray becomes a lesson in how quickly things spin out of control.
