Sex and the Single Girl

ComedyRomance110 min

A womanizing reporter at a sleazy tabloid cooks up a scheme to expose celebrity psychologist Helen Brown by impersonating his put-upon neighbor. Tony Curtis is the fast-talking journalist at the center of the ruse, while Natalie Wood’s Helen is a public authority on sex and single life who becomes the target of his story and his attention. As the disguise pulls him deeper into her orbit, the setup turns into a glossy 1960s tangle of deception, romance, and bruised egos, with Henry Fonda and Lauren Bacall adding to the comic crosscurrents around them.
