Bone Tomahawk
DramaHorrorWestern133 min
After a saloon shootout in the frontier town of Bright Hope, a wounded stranger is locked up, and by morning he and the doctor’s assistant who treated him have vanished. Kurt Russell is Sheriff Franklin Hunt, who follows the only clue left behind—an arrow tied to a cannibal tribe—and rides into the wilderness with a small posse to bring the captives back. Alongside him are Patrick Wilson’s injured foreman, Matthew Fox’s self-assured gunslinger, and Richard Jenkins as Hunt’s older deputy. What begins as a rescue mission pushes deeper into harsh country, where the film’s plainspoken Western rhythms give way to brutality and dread.
