The Revenant
ActionAdventureDramaWestern157 min
In the 1820s frontier, Leonardo DiCaprio is Hugh Glass, a frontiersman mauled by a bear and left for dead by members of his hunting party. Alone in deep snow and rough country, Glass claws his way back through rivers, forests, and the winter wilderness, with survival giving way to revenge. Tom Hardy's trapper is part of the betrayal that sets him on that path. Directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, the film keeps close to Glass's ordeal, with brutal violence, unforgiving weather, and the constant presence of the landscape shaping nearly every scene.
