The Boat That Rocked
ComedyDrama135 min
In 1966, a pirate radio station broadcasting from a ship in the North Sea becomes a daily lifeline for British listeners as its deejays ignore official rules and keep the rock and pop coming. Richard Curtis builds the film around the crowded, unruly crew of Radio Rock, with Bill Nighy and Philip Seymour Hoffman among the voices on board. Between rival egos, life at sea, and a running fight with the establishment, the station turns into a floating headquarters for music and mayhem.
