The Swamp
ComedyDrama103 min
During a sweltering summer in northern Argentina, two related middle-class families drift between a crumbling country estate and a modest townhouse, where idle afternoons, careless adults, and small humiliations steadily expose the strain in their lives. Mercedes Morán and Graciela Borges anchor the households at the center, surrounded by children, cousins, and servants who absorb the fallout of gossip, resentment, and neglect. As poolside drinking, overheard remarks, and unspoken attractions accumulate, class prejudice, family ritual, and religious habit emerge through the mess of everyday domestic life.
