My Father and My Son

After the 1980 military coup in Turkey, a left-wing journalist returns to his family’s farm with the young son born the day his wife died in childbirth. Ill from the torture he endured in custody, he comes back needing a home for the boy and finds the old break with his father still waiting for him. At the center are Fikret Kuşkan and Çetin Tekindor, carrying the bitter distance between a son who abandoned the family for political activism and a father who never forgave it. The story moves through grief, resentment, and the uneasy work of trying to live together again.
