Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River
ActionAdventureComedy121 min
Late in the Joseon Dynasty, conman Kim Seon-dal turns the Taedong River itself into a swindle. Yoo Seung-ho is Seondal, a famous trickster whose scams have made him known across the country, traveling with a small crew that includes Ko Chang-seok's Bo-won and the Buddhist Yoon. When the team targets tobacco, one of the era's most valuable goods, the scheme means deceiving a powerful local figure and pulling off something much bigger than their usual cons. Period detail and broad comic mischief shape this take on the old Kim Seon-dal story.
