The Man Who Killed Don Quixote
ActionAdventureComedyDramaFantasySci-Fi133 min
Cynical ad director Toby is back in rural Spain when he crosses paths with an old shoemaker who insists he is Don Quixote and Toby is his Sancho Panza. Adam Driver's Toby is dragged into the man's fantasy by Jonathan Pryce, whose self-styled knight turns every encounter into a quest. As their wanderings grow stranger, Toby is pushed to reckon with a film he made in his idealistic youth in the same village, and the repercussions it left behind. Terry Gilliam folds moviemaking, memory, and Cervantes into a story where delusion and guilt keep bleeding into everyday life.
