In the tiny town of Mystery, Alaska, the weekly pond hockey game is local religion until an exhibition against the New York Rangers pulls the whole place into the spotlight. Russell Crowe and Hank Azaria are among the men lacing up for Team Mystery, a lineup made up of sheriffs, shopkeepers, deliverymen and other locals who play for the town as much as themselves. Mary McCormack and Burt Reynolds are part of the larger crowd gathering around the matchup as reporters, promoters and millionaire athletes descend on a village built around the ice. The story stays with the town while the game grows far bigger than its Saturday routine.
