Swimming with Sharks

ComedyCrime101 min

Guy (Frank Whaley) is a young film executive trying to climb in Hollywood when he lands under the thumb of Buddy Ackerman, a producer who runs on intimidation, humiliation, and total control. Kevin Spacey’s Buddy treats every errand and conversation like a chance to remind Guy who matters and who doesn’t, while Michelle Forbes’s Dawn adds another source of pressure from the same careerist world. When Guy reaches his limit, he kidnaps his boss and turns their working relationship into a vicious power struggle, with the movie business itself as the target of the joke.
